Importing MSK Cluster to CloudFormation fails when applying tags

I am trying to import an MSK Cluster into the cloudformation stack. During this process CF tries to update the resource "Apply stack-level tags to imported resource if applicable" and it fails cause "You can't update multiple attributes of the cluster in same request. Use a different request for each update".

Has anyone been able to complete the import sucesfully?

Hello there,

I suspect you might be importing the stack and updating the tags at a time. CFN supports one task(update) at a time. So, please import it first and then update the tags once import is successful.
