Case ID: ***************- Urgent Billing Adjustment Help Needed (Unassigned)

-3

Hello re:Post team,

I am requesting assistance with Case ID ***************. The ticket is currently stuck in the 'Unassigned' state on my Basic Support account. A Bedrock automated setup wizard accidentally provisioned an expensive OpenSearch Serverless collection, accruing $161.80 in unexpected charges. I have already deleted the resource to secure the account. I just need a billing representative to look at the case so it can be routed for a standard courtesy refund review.Could an AWS moderator please flag this case ID to the billing supervisor?

Thank you.

*Edit: Removed Case ID - Randi S.

I understand the frustration over the delay.

I've reached out to our internal teams to raise awareness on your case. Continue to monitor your Support Center for updates.

I understand you're concerned about unexpected charges related to an OpenSearch Serverless collection that was provisioned through a Bedrock setup wizard. I can provide some guidance on how to proceed with your billing concern.

For billing adjustments and refund requests, you'll want to work directly through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. You can add correspondence to your existing case there to provide additional context about the situation, including details about how the resource was provisioned and that you've already deleted it.

Since you're on a Basic Support plan, response times may vary. If you find you need faster response times for billing or technical issues in the future, you might want to review your AWS Support plan options to see if a higher tier plan would better meet your needs.

When adding correspondence to your case, be sure to clearly explain the circumstances - that the resource was created through an automated wizard, the steps you've taken to remove it, and why you're requesting a billing review. This will help the billing team understand your situation when they review your request.

I should note that I cannot directly flag or route cases, but working through the Support Center is the proper channel for billing adjustment requests to be reviewed by the appropriate team.
