I understand this situation is stressful, but there are steps you can take to address the AWS bill and contact support. Here's how to proceed:

sign in to your AWS account: Go to the AWS Management Console and log in with your credentials.

Open a Support Case:

Go to the AWS Support Center. Click on "Create case."

Fill in the Case Details:

For Regarding, select "Billing." For Service, select "Billing" again. In the Category dropdown, choose "Billing Error." Provide a detailed description of your situation. Be honest and explain that you are a student and new to AWS, and you were unaware of the need to stop instances to avoid charges. Mention the exact amount that was deducted and request if it can be waived or if any other assistance can be provided.

AWS Free Tier: If you are using AWS for learning, ensure you are aware of the AWS Free Tier, which provides free usage of certain services within limits for 12 months. This can help you avoid unexpected charges in the future.
