[WorkMail] User cannot login after I reset their password.

Good day and thank you for your time.

I have a user who recently lost access to their WorkMail account. I subsequently reset their password, assuming the password had been changed to something unknown to the user. Neither of us can now login to the account from the web portal.

The account is enabled and we are using the username instead of the email to login. It's been about an hour with no luck, just in can some backend sync is being slow.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing problems with loggin on to WebMail. Do note that the Username for WorkMail directories is case sensitive! Can you double check your username in the console and the one you're using in the Webmail?

I reset the password for the user (me!) on workmail and the system will not let me login with the new password. First I reset password. I used:

  • Upper and lower case letters
  • A number
  • A special character -The password is more than eight characters.

Then I try to login at proxifile.awsapps.com/mail When I type username and new password, AWS workmail says:

"Authentication Failed Please check your username and password to make sure you typed them correctly."

How do I login to my workmail when system will not recognize my new password?
