Please share the documentation you used for configuration.
Normally, I don't think verifying an SSL certificate takes that much time.
Where did you purchase your domain?
I'm not sure if the pending domain is the culprit for that as well.
Pending means that the domain is not yet available.
Can I check the NS record using the dig command?
If you cannot check the NS record with the command below, the domain is not available or the NS record settings are incorrect.
dig domain.com ns

The only documentation I used for configuration is the one that Lightsail provided, the 'Set up your Wordpress website' dropdown box that shows on the instance's page. The domain I purchased was through Lightsail using Route 53 when I set up the instance.
Using the command you provided, I am able to check NS records for the website as well.
What other information would be needed to troubleshoot next steps?
