Lightsail Domain Stuck On "This domain is pending verification"

0

I've spun up a Lightsail Wordpress instance and went through all the steps for setting it up. However, it has been stuck on "This domain is pending verification" for the last almost week.

On top of that, I am unable to get the SSL certificate working and I'm not sure if the pending domain is the culprit for that as well.

I've tried rebooting the instance, stopping and starting it, restarting the setup multiple times and I cannot get the domain to verify nor the SSL certificate established.

Are there any steps I've missed to troubleshooting this or does verification usually take this long?

Hello.

Please share the documentation you used for configuration.
Normally, I don't think verifying an SSL certificate takes that much time.
Where did you purchase your domain?

I'm not sure if the pending domain is the culprit for that as well.

Pending means that the domain is not yet available.
Can I check the NS record using the dig command?
If you cannot check the NS record with the command below, the domain is not available or the NS record settings are incorrect.

  • The only documentation I used for configuration is the one that Lightsail provided, the 'Set up your Wordpress website' dropdown box that shows on the instance's page. The domain I purchased was through Lightsail using Route 53 when I set up the instance.

Using the command you provided, I am able to check NS records for the website as well.

What other information would be needed to troubleshoot next steps?
