Splitting AWS and Amazon.com accounts

0

I've received an email from AWS saying that AWS and Amazon.com accounts are becoming more separate. It says:

"We are in the process of making access to your AWS account and Amazon.com account independent from one another for enhanced security. We strongly encourage you to login to the Amazon.com account with your AWS account root user credentials and update the email address [1] before December 15, 2023."

I'm a bit confused. I want to leave my Amazon shopping account email addresses the same, I don't want to change those and being in the UK, I don't shop at Amazon.com anyway. Can I just ignore this whole thing then? If I change my AWS email address will that not just also update the email address for amazon.com and .co.uk? It always has in the past. If not, can I just change my AWS email? Is that what this email from AWS is trying to get me to do?

It also says: "You are receiving this message because we have identified that you are currently using the same email address for this AWS account and an additional AWS account listed in the 'Affected resources' tab of your AWS Health Dashboard.", thing is, I don't have an additional AWS account and there is not 'Affected Resources' tab on my AWS health dashboard, so I've no idea what this is on about.

Thank you
