I have an S3 bucket with 1.2 billion objects, all in the S3 Standard storage class. Most are infrequently accessed, and I'd like to save money by moving them to the S3 Intelligent Tiering class. It looks as if the way to move them is with a Lifecycle Rule, and it looks as if moving objects to a different storage class with a Lifecycle Rule will cost me $0.01 per 1000 objects, or $12,000. The documentation I've found seems vague on this particular case, so I would like to confirm that I'm going about this the right way and that my estimate of the cost is correct. Thank you.
