Exam forfeited due to ID verification, appeal to reschedule/refund it

0

Hi,

I have scheduled an AWS DevOps Pro Certification exam at 8:30 AM, December 26th, 2023. I produced my Driving license issued by my regional transport organisation as my ID proof to the proctor.

However the proctor refused to accept it as proof for the exam. He assured me that I can re attempt the exam by producing an alternate ID at another time, raised a Ticket ID 10717097 and asked me to connect to the customer care.

When I reached out to customer care, to my shock, they said that they cannot reschedule the exam and I had to forfeit my exam. How come I forfeit a 350 USD exam without even attempting it? The response from Pearson customer care has been rather rude and totally unexpected.

I'm not trying to circumvent the process, in all fair means, all I'm asking is for a refund so I can retake the exam with an alternate ID proof. Even though I submitted a Government issued ID card as listed in the requirements, i'm ready to retake it with an alternate ID. Please note that I have cleared several AWS exams in the past with same Driving License ID proof

Reaching out to AWS to check this on a humanitarian grounds. Isn't it unfair that I had to forfeit 350 USD exam, that too in country like India where purchasing power is low. It's totally screwed me. Please try to understand issue. I cannot afford to re purchase the exam. All I'm asking is for a fair means
