Route53 .be dns host verification issue

0

After paying for registration of a domain name on .be, I received a verification email from dnsbelgium.be and 4/5 of the verification options were only by a belgium eID. Although it seems odd I tried to verify my identity through the fifth option, hoping it would work for me as I have no belgium eID, and the verification failed.

And so, The dns I paid for through the Route53 domain registration doesn't propogating.

How can I get this domain to propogate? is it possible? Should I contact support to get a refund and try another domain name which is not a .be domain?

Since the fifth verification option doesn’t work as expected, and if you don’t meet any of the criteria in order to receive a valid Belgium eID (1), then there is no other option to use this domain and get it to propagate. Unfortunately, since you have already registered this domain, you are no longer eligible for a refund as per AWS documentation. See below (2):

“If you accidentally register the wrong domain name, you can't change it. Instead, you need to register another domain name and specify the correct name. You also can't get a refund for a domain name that you registered accidentally.” The only remaining solution is to just purchase a new domain which doesn’t have .be.

Please go ahead and reach out to support as well for further clarification if needed.
