Accidentally Deleted S3 Bucket – Any Way to Recover Data?

0

Hello AWS Community,

I am reaching out for urgent help. I have accidentally deleted a very important S3 bucket in my AWS account. The bucket deletion occurred on April 28, 2025 at 16:11 (UTC+03:00).

Unfortunately, I did not have versioning or replication enabled, and there are no backups available for this bucket. The data stored in this bucket is extremely critical for my business operations.

Is there any possible way to recover or restore the deleted S3 bucket or its contents?
I am on the Basic Support Plan and do not have access to Technical Support via AWS Support Center.
If anyone has experienced a similar situation or knows of any workaround, escalation process, or AWS internal contact who might help, I would deeply appreciate your advice.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions.

Best regards,

Short answer is no. If you have deleted the bucket (which first must be emptied – requiring that you deleted the data first), there is no way to restore it. Your only option to recover the data would be from backups of that data which you may have created previously. If you do not have backups in another bucket or another service, there is not a way to restore the data.
