not able to check clogwatch logs

why do I get the below error always when I want to check for clouwatch ==> log insights almost since a week now

ResourceNotFound Failed to retrieve Log Groups

Can you confirm that your assumed roles have the necessary IAM permissions to access CloudWatch?

I have the admin access to the account and I am not able to access log insights under cloudwatch. It was working fine earlier however I noticed the issue since a week now. please advise.
