In the main EC2 control panel, I've got Instances with Instance-IDs, and I've got attached EBS Volumes with Volume-IDS, and when I look in there I have snapshots that don't show up in my snapshots.
When I take a snapshot, those show up in snapshots with snapshot IDs.
When I go back and look in my Volumes, the original snapshots remain.
What are the snapshots in the main EC2 control panel under Instance (Storage Tab), then Volume. Why don't my recent snapshots show up in the Volume page, only the original snapshot that I know nothing about?
In the end, I want to archive this old project in case somebody wants to come back and look at or use it. How do I ensure that I have a complete snapshot that I can save while I detach and delete the original EC2 instances and EBS volumes.
