LightSail instance disk size increas

Question

I followed the following steps.
1. Create a Windows 2019 server LightSail instance (512 MB RAM, 1 vCPU, 30 GB SSD), say Server1
2. Crete a Server1 snapshot, say Sanpshot1
3. Crete as second 2019 server LightSail instance (1 GB RAM, 1 vCPU, 40 GB SSD), say Server2, using Sanpshot1
The issue is that Sever 2 information shows the disk to be 40GB.

But the Windows disk size is still 30GB.

The documentation seems to suggest the above steps should create a server instance with larger disk size, but it does not. Is this a bug and/or how do I increase the disk size?

Hello,

The disk space may be there, but is unallocated.  You will need to take an additional step to allocate the additional space to the volume.
