IAM account cannot login after 2-3 months

-1

I’m experiencing an issue with my IAM account. I was able to log in yesterday, but today I’m unable to access my account again. This issue has occurred multiple times (around 4–5 times already), and each time I’ve needed admin assistance to reset my account.

  • It is highly likely that this is a misconfiguration within your AWS account, either in IAM or due to an SCP via AWS Organizations. To be honest, I don’t think this community forum can resolve this. While you might be able to trace the changes in CloudTrail, only AWS Support will have the necessary visibility to Support you here in case your team does not have the skill. My honest recommendation: open a support ticket directly in the AWS console.

To answer this question it sounds like you have a password age configured on your IAM or a policy assigned to your user which only allows authentication up into a certain date. You will need to speak to your administrator to resolve this.

  • Thank you for answering. I’ve already checked with the admin that no password age is configured, and there are no IAM policies attached to my user that would limit authentication by date. The issue still persists
