How to register a domain name with the least possible cost and without having EC2?

Question

I am new to AWS , I want to create my initial website and register a domain name to it ?
How can I do that ?
I am following this page but it said I need to associate it to running EC2 or network IP

Hello

If you would like to register a Domain you can use AWS route 53 to register a domain from the link [https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/route53/home#DomainRegistration:](here)

Once your Domain is registered it will create a hosted zone automatically in your Route 53 console.

1.  If you do not want to host your application without Ec2 you can use S3 **Static Website hosting  **
