Suddenly can't access my lightsail remote computer? And I am clueless....

0

I am very thick about computer stuff.

I'm shocked that Amazon don't have a number to help. So thanks to anyone who can.

My Remote Computer [from Windows 11 desktop PC] went 'off'. Since then I can't sign in.

It says: "Unable to Connect. UPSTREAM_NOT_FOUND [519]"

I hope it's an easy fix - as this is very frustrating. I can't find my way around AWS webpages. I am so lost. Thanks again

  • Hi J,

There's not a lot of detail in your question. Could you please elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish? What is running on the LightSail server?

Did you setup this instance in LightSail? If not and since you are light on details it might be good to contact the person who set it up for you.

Support is available, but it is a paid service. You can access the support portal under the resources menu at the top of the page.

Hope this helps.

  • Hi, sorry about that.

I can't connect. I get on. I have no access. That's the issue.

I am only running one thing on the Remote Computer [AWS thing] - and that is a connection to a mailing program. I'm barely using it. The only reason I got Lightsail is that my home broadband has so many 'misfires' - where I get time outs and the like.

I'm just trying to get back onto the remote computer. I'm sorry that I don't know enough to give you a better answer

  • Yes I did set it up. It was just a remote computer. I dropped on one file from my computer onto the screen and it was done.

  • Have you logged into the LightSail console to ensure the instance is running? Perhaps reboot the instance and see if you can reconnect?

  • I will try logging into the light sail console. I just feel so lost inside AWS pages. Will try now.

Well I pressed reboot.

It didn't look like [from the console] that the machine even turned off. Still says running
