Workdocs deleted file recovery

0

A user recently deleted a file, but as an admin I can't find it in the trash, since it was deleted 3 days ago.

How can I recover this deleted file?

The file was deleted by the workdocs driver

Recovery Volume Retention Files in the Recovery Recycle Bin are saved for 365 day(s) before being deleted.

The file to restore does not appear in the trash when accessing Workdocs web. Is there another location I can check?

  • As I said, check various recycle bins you might have or latest versions of the file. AWS Support can definitely help you on that.

Thank you for your reply.

The user deleted the file using the Workdocs driver.

It is set in the Workdocs admin panel to keep it for 365 days before permanently deleting the file.

The deleted file is not in the Workdocs recycle bin (admin).

Is there another place where I can check for the existence of the file?

Hi Roney, I also encountered similar situation and was finally able to recover mine, so sharing the findings.

-Currently, Workdocs Recycle Bin shows "Folders" first so you might have to scroll down several minutes until the files such as Excel, PDF, Word start appearing (in our case, was 10+min of scrolling down).

-Some files were still unrecoverable showing "you do not have permission to this document. request access" Clicking the request access sent e-mails to managers who were also unable to view document/give permission, so received support by cutting ticket to Workdocs team and got restored.
