Lightsail DNS Record Not Verified

0

Hello, I am trying to verify 2 TXT Records in Lightsail. One of them is verified, but the other one wasn't. My team of experts looked into it, but they could not get it verified as well.

I understand you're having trouble verifying one of your TXT records in Amazon Lightsail DNS. This can be a frustrating issue, but there are a few things we can check to help resolve it:

  1. Propagation time: After adding or updating DNS records, it can take some time for changes to propagate across the internet. This can range from a few minutes to up to 48 hours, depending on various factors. Be patient and give it some more time if you've recently made changes.

  2. Record accuracy: Double-check the TXT record value you've entered in Lightsail DNS. Even a small typo can cause verification to fail. Make sure it exactly matches the value provided by the service requiring verification.

  3. TTL (Time-to-Live) settings: If possible, try setting a lower TTL value for the TXT record. This can help speed up propagation. Once verified, you can increase the TTL back to a longer duration.

  4. DNS lookup tools: Use online tools like MXToolbox or the 'dig' command in a terminal to check if the TXT record is publicly visible. This can help determine if the record is properly set in Lightsail DNS.

  5. Error messages: Pay close attention to any error messages or logs provided during the verification process. These can often provide clues about what's going wrong.

  6. Subdomain accuracy: Ensure you've entered the correct subdomain for the TXT record. For example, if the verification requires a record at "_acme-challenge.yourdomain.com", make sure you've entered "_acme-challenge" as the subdomain in Lightsail DNS.

If you've checked all these points and are still having issues, it may be worth contacting AWS support for further assistance, as there could be a more complex issue at play.

Remember, DNS changes can take time to propagate, so patience is key in this process.
