SiteWiseEdgePublisher Error After Improper Shutdown in Greengrass Device

0

Hello,

After a power failure or if the PC on which Greengrass is installed doesn't shut down properly, I get an error when I start it up again.

The log file says that the "sequence_checkpoints.s3.db" could not be deleted. So I have to delete it manually and then reboot the PC and it works normally.

However, I don't think this is a long-term solution. If there is a better way to fix this, please let me know.

thank you.

Hello,

The issue you're facing with the sequence_checkpoints.s3.db file in AWS IoT Greengrass after an improper shutdown is related to the database file becoming corrupted or locked due to the abrupt power loss.

This is a known issue and our Greengrass experts also advise that the manual deleting this db file and restarting Greengrass is the only way at the moment to deal with such scenario. Unfortunately, for such ungraceful shutdowns there is no other workaround available to delete it automatically. We regret for any inconvenience caused by this.
