Move Old data from FSx drive to Glaciar

I am having 2 Windows EC2 Instances, I have created a FSx drive to share data between these 2 EC2 instances, now day by day data on this FSx drive is increasing, so i wanted to move 1 year old data to S3 Glaciar, to save the cost, can someone please help me how i can achive this.

  • I think the linked older reply about AWS DataSync is for a different use case. I believe AWS DataSync can only copy data, not move it, so while AWS DataSync could deliver the data in S3, the data would also remain in FSx. Costs would only increase, with the data duplicated between FSx and S3.
