Can I use Debian os as my EB custom image?

I need to use Debian/Ubuntu as my beanstalk ami. How can I do it? what is pre-requesit?

The only option I see would be to use a debian based docker container. See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/create_deploy_docker.html
