When encountering the "Invalid Form Data" error while requesting access to Amazon Bedrock models, there are a few specific issues that could be causing this problem:
-
URL Format Requirements: One common issue is with the company URL field. According to reports from users who worked with AWS Support, the URL validation specifically requires the "www" prefix in your company URL. Try formatting your URL as "www.yourdomain.tld" even if you don't typically use the www prefix for your company website.
-
Field Validation: Double-check all fields in the form, as some may have specific format requirements that aren't explicitly stated in the interface. There are no information buttons or examples provided for some fields that have strict validation rules.
-
Model Availability by Region: Ensure you're requesting models that are available in your current AWS region. Not all Bedrock models are available in every region. They are primarily supported in US East (N. Virginia/us-east-1) and US West (Oregon/us-west-2).
-
Request Process: Remember that even after successfully submitting the form, you'll need to wait for approval before you can use the models.
If you continue to experience issues after trying these solutions, consider opening a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing" (which can be done free of charge) to get specific assistance with your account.

I am also experiencing the same issue when requesting access to Anthropic models in Amazon Bedrock from the us-east-1 region. Every time I submit the request, I get the "Invalid Form Data" error, even after carefully checking all fields.
I’ve tried all the URL formats suggested, including plain "www.page.tld", "https://www.page.tld", and "https://page.tld". My AWS account has all necessary permissions. I even attempted to submit the application via the AWS CLI using:
aws bedrock put-use-case-for-model-access --form-data fileb://usecase.b64 --region us-east-1
(of course encoding the form as base64 exactly as shown in the documentation). Despite this, I still receive "Invalid Form Data" in response. It seems like there may be a deeper issue affecting requests for Anthropic model access from this region, regardless of the interface or approach used.
Has anyone found a workaround, or is AWS Support aware of this particular problem?
