Unable to reuse a space name already used once even if the Space has been deleted and unable to use a billing account already used once

1

I created a a Space in Amazon CodeCatalyst and I wanted to change the name case. I deleted the Space and recreated it with camel case name with the same characters. Amazon CodeCatalyst rejected the selected name because it is already in use. Will I be able to reuse the same name at some point? Are the Space names globally unique like Amazon S3 bucket? What about associated billing account? I used one once in a Space, I deleted the space and want to reuse the same account for billing but I can't?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Spaces names are unique. You cannot reuse names of deleted spaces. Here is a link to the User Guide that talks about this.

In addition, you can assign a billing account to a space and change the billing account at any time. However, at a given time, there should be at least one billing account associated with your space. If you delete a space, you can use the associated billing account with any other existing space or a new space. You can learn more about how to setup billing accounts from this document.
