Can't login to AWS with username, only email, trying to set up SSO PLEASE HELP!!

I am a new user trying to get acquainted with AWS. I was following the modules and got to installing CLI v2 to my computer. Now I was putting the inputs to configure SSO and when it pops up to AWS login, it does not let me log in. It keeps saying "something does not compute", "it's not you it's us" I have waited and waited still same error. Please help!

    You did not provide much details. What guide are you following, what IdP are you integrating with. You can log in as the root user - seems like there's no need to panic really.

This error can occur for a number of reasons, the best way to troubleshot this is to login using your email address and take a look at the Cloudtrail logs to see if you can identify why the login is failing. The Its not you its us message is quite generic and does not always indicate an AWS problem.
