Hello.
As you may be aware, name changes to your AWS account may take some time to take effect.
I've made changes in the past, but they didn't take effect for about an hour.

The updated account name can take up to four hours to appear in the AWS Management Console.
Please note. Only the root user can rename an account.
I’m believe you may have updated the wrong field. You updated the Full Name. This is not the account name in AWS.
Please update the account name field. This reflects in the Org almost instantly.
Hi Gary, thanks for your response. My manager was able to get root credentials today but is saying it still had no access to rename the account. Do we need to rename the organisation unit instead?

Thanks, Riku. The image above is the right place to update it, right? Our end goal is to update the account names that are reflected in the billing invoice to streamline cost allocation.
My manager mentioned they tested something 2 days ago but haven't reflected yet so I'll continue to monitor
If you have access as root user, you should be able to make changes from that screen.
It seems like it's taking too long, so you might want to open a case with AWS Support under "Account and billing" and ask. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awssupport/latest/user/case-management.html
