How do I import historical data into AWS IoT SiteWise?

0

I want to my current IoT solution to AWS IoT SiteWise to collect, organize, and analyze data from industrial equipment at scale. I'm interested in the AWS Analytics features, and would like to test them beforehand. How do I load my historical data (in bulk mode) into AWS IoT SiteWise to test the AWS Analytics capabilities?

If edge data is stored in on-premise historian databases, then AWS IoT SiteWise software can be run on an edge gateway to transmit data to AWS. If edge data is transmitted to AWS IoT Core using the MQTT protocol, then AWS IoT SiteWise must be selected as the destination endpoint in the Rules Engine. After your data flows to AWS, digital models of edge devices and equipment can be created in AWS IoT SiteWise. You'll also have to link the equipment data ingested into AWS IoT SiteWise to the asset models created. Make sure that the models that represent the actual edge devices and equipment are visualizing those devices and equipment.

You can review the different methods available for ingesting data into AWS IoT Sitewise here.

AWS IoT SiteWise now supports Bulk Import . I have recently published a blog Importing historical equipment data into AWS IoT SiteWise to demonstrate the capability using a code sample.
