When using Transit Gateway, traffic between AWS regions often requires double inspection — once before leaving the source region and again when it enters the destination region. However, with Cloud WAN's service insertion, you can avoid this by leveraging an inspection VPC in the source region where your workloads are located. This way, the traffic is inspected once before it leaves, cutting down on both cost and complexity while streamlining the process.
