AWM Account Suspension

0

Our account has been suspended since late Tuesday night (13th). Therefore I am having to post this through another account to access the re:Post community

We understood out 3rd party IT filled out the required form to prevent our AWS account being suspended; unfortunately this does not appear to have been the case, as our account has been suspended since late Tuesday night (10pm).

Since early Wednesday morning, out 3rd party have been trying to contact to have our account restored - we are a regional newspaper with our cloud-based services stored with AWS. He has received ZERO response back from AWS support to reactivate the account - it's now36 hours since this was initially logged

Unfortunately this has threatened to prevent us publishing our weekly newspaper for this week, thankfully we have got it published - by a hair's breath

Can anybody advise how we can get immediate response at this stage - it's now Thursday 4.40pm European time??!

I cannot overstate the urgency of this, as our forthcoming publication is already being worked on - without our cloud-based newsroom

Please HELP!!

I understand the urgency of your situation, and I apologize for the difficulties you're experiencing with your suspended AWS account. This is undoubtedly a critical issue for your newspaper operations. Here are some steps you can take to try and expedite the resolution:

  1. If you haven't already, ensure that a support case has been opened under the "Account and billing" category. This type of support is available even for suspended accounts.

  2. In your support case, clearly explain the urgency of the situation, mentioning that you are a regional newspaper and that this suspension is impacting your ability to publish. Provide all relevant details, including when the account was suspended and any actions taken so far.

  3. If you have an AWS Account Manager or are working with an AWS Partner, reach out to them immediately for assistance. They may be able to escalate the issue internally.

  4. Check all email addresses associated with your AWS account, including spam folders, for any communications from AWS. They may have sent requests for additional information or verification.

  5. If possible, have your 3rd party IT provider double-check that all required forms were indeed submitted correctly and that there are no outstanding issues on your account.

  6. Consider reaching out through AWS's social media channels or the AWS re:Post community for additional visibility on your issue.

  7. Be prepared to provide any additional information or documentation AWS may request to verify your account or confirm any payments if required.

While waiting for a response, ensure that all your contact information in the AWS account is up to date. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to immediately reactivate the account on your own. The process typically requires manual intervention from AWS Support, which can sometimes take time.

Continue to persistently follow up on your support case, emphasizing the critical nature of your situation. While it's frustrating, AWS Support is the primary channel for resolving this issue, and they have the necessary tools and authority to address your specific situation.
