To find the "Affected resources" tab, follow these specific steps:
- Open the AWS Health Dashboard -> https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/home (when your are logged in in your account)
- In the left sidebar, click on "Event log".
- Look for the specific notification titled "[Action Required] Amazon RDS PostgreSQL minor versions deprecating..." and click on it to open the event details.
- Once the event details pane opens (usually on the right or as a full page), you will see three tabs at the top: Details, Affected resources, and Event history.
Note: If you don't see any resources listed there, it might be because you are logged into a member account in an Organization, and the event was issued at the Management account level. In that case, check the "Organizational view" in the Health Dashboard if you have the necessary permissions.
The 'Affected resources' tab is located in your AWS Health Dashboard, which is also known as the Personal Health Dashboard (PHD). This is where AWS displays notifications about events affecting your AWS resources, including RDS operational notifications about upcoming database upgrades or deprecations.
To access it, you would navigate to the AWS Health Dashboard in your AWS Console. Once there, you should see the notification about the PostgreSQL minor version deprecation, and within that notification, there will be an 'Affected resources' tab that lists the specific RDS instances in your account that are running the versions being deprecated.
This tab will show you exactly which of your database instances need attention before the May 31, 2026 deprecation date, allowing you to plan and execute the necessary upgrades.
