Did you ask that limit increase under your Running On-Demand G and VT instances quota? What is the applied quota in your screen when you visit this page for the same region where you are launching the g5.xlarge:https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/servicequotas/home/services/ec2/quotas/L-DB2E81BA

I asked under All G and VT Spot Instance Requests. Under Running On-Demand G and VT instances, the Applied quota value is 0! Should I ask under Running On-Demand G and VT instance?

Yes, these are different buckets.
Don’t forget to raise in the region where your launching the instances.
