Why are AWS bills paid by IAM users?

0

Dear Teams

This morning I received a charge for using AWS services from my account ****2579, and the payment was indeed charged to my credit card, but my account is an IAM User, and the root user is registered by a company account. Shouldn’t the root user registered by the company pay the fee?

Thank you!

Raise a billing support case with AWS about this and they can progress it for you https://support.console.aws.amazon.com/support/home#/case/create?issueType=customer-service

  • Type: Account and billing
  • Service: Billing

And select the most appropriate category for your issue.

The AWS re:Post community doesn't have visibility of the billing details in your account.
