Issue with Mapping API Gateway Custom Domain to CloudFront Endpoint via Route 53

0

I configured an API Gateway to integrate with a Lambda function, set up a Custom Domain name using an API endpoint type Edge, and mapped this domain to the API Gateway. All these configurations were made in the us-east-1 region. However, when I attempted to create a DNS record in Route 53 by clicking on my hosted zone, entering the subdomain name, selecting Alias, and choosing CloudFront as the endpoint, the API Gateway custom domain name did not appear as an option. I have waited for over 24 hours, but the issue persists.

If you select Cloudfront in route53 then API Gateway will not appear. Only Cloudfront resources will appear

  • Here is what I expect as the API custom domain: d1fx41b844ryio.cloudfront.net

  • do any CDNs appear in route53 when creating an alias?

  • Yes it does appear, however its different from this "d1fx41b844ryio.cloudfront.net", moreover the CDN has been showing before creating the API custom domain
