Encoding inputs with AAC Ambisonics FOA
Hello, I would like to validate if the meciaconvert supports audio track for Ambisonic coding.
I have an MP4 input for 360 video
with one audio track First Order Ambisonics (W X Y Z).
But I don't see an equivalente channel coding for output audio AAC.
This is the input audio track mediainfo :
Audio ID : 2 Format : AAC LC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Low Complexity Codec ID : mp4a-40-2 Duration : 6 min 52 s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 506 kb/s Maximum bit rate : 512 kb/s Channel(s) : 4 channels / 4 channels Channel(s)_Original : 4 channels Channel layout : Ambisonics (W X Y Z) / Ambisonics (W X Y Z) ChannelLayout_Original : C L R Cs Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz Frame rate : 46.875 FPS (1024 SPF) Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 24.9 MiB (0%) Default : Yes Alternate group : 1
MediaConvert supports multi-channel outputs as outlined in the following document. It does not support coding a channel as W X Y Z, but instead, it codes with left, right, center, etc.
Thank you! I conclude Media Convert may not have a specific support for Ambisonic Audio coding
