Hello Customer,

I understand that password are not getting updated for users using AWS Console. To address this could to please retry it once again from AWS Console [avoid any transient issues].

In case it doesn't work again, please try resetting the password for users using CLI. Below are steps that you can take for updating user passwords via CLI and if you encounter any error, please share the same with us for next actions.

  1. Open Cloudshell from top bar on left side.
  2. Execute below command for the user
aws workmail reset-password --organization-id <ORG-ID> --user-id <value> --password <value>

[+] CLI reference - https://awscli.amazonaws.com/v2/documentation/api/latest/reference/workmail/reset-password.html

I hope the information will be helpful to you.

Thanks

  • Hello, I just set up my Workmail domain and email users. I attempted to reset a user password in the console, and the password does not reset but stays spinning. What is going on?
