Help with moving storage from EC2 to S3 for complete beginner

I am a complete beginner to AWS, I know nothing about how to use the platform. That being said, after chatting with support, they have recommended that I transfer data from EC2 to S3 Intelligent - Tiering to reduce my AWS bill fees.

If someone can help, I need step-by-step instructions on how to do this. Every step needs to be detailed because I have never used AWS before. I am tech-savvy, but AWS is completely foreign to me.

What kind of recommendations did you receive?
What data should be transferred from EC2 to S3 and under what conditions?
You can copy files to S3 by using the aws s3 cp command.
