Spread placement group limit per AZ using ECS

A spread placement group can span multiple Availability Zones in the same Region. You can have a maximum of seven running instances per Availability Zone per group.

Does this stand true when I'm setting up the placement strategy for an ECS cluster ?

To answer my own question after contacting support:

The quote only stands true for Placement Groups as it is only relevant for placement groups.
