MX and TXT records are not being returned on public search

querying my domain through mxtoolbox.com/domain/[example.com] does not return a successful record for MX records or the TXT records I have put in for Mailgun integration. It's been well over 48 hours, so I don't think it's a propagation issue.

The entries appear correct, here are some sample ones:

mg.example.com. MX
10 mxa.mailgun.org
10 mxb.mailgun.org

mg.example.com. TXT
"v=spf1 include:mailgun.org ~all"

Let me know if there is another setting in Route53 to get these out to the world.

because this was a Lightsail instance, the settings only worked in the Lightsail DNS zone. Although the documentation indicates this is optional (https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-using-route-53-to-point-a-domain-to-an-instance) , it only worked this way.
