Unable to set Logging Level to Debug in local and cloudwatch logs

I seem to be unable to set a logging level above INFO. I set all logs (local and cloud) to DEBUG in the console, deployed, but don't see any DEBUG level messages in any log.

Is this expected ?

Info is the lowest level currently supported.
