Unable to resore RDS snapshot

I have an RDS snapshot taken from a MySQL Rds instance running 8.0.29 which is no deprecated. I am unable to restore any of my backups/snapshots, I assume because you are no longer able to start an instance with that mysql version. Is there anyway to get around this and restore a backup/snapshot?
