It would be good to get some more details about your environment, e.g.:
- Which type of GPU instance are you using?
- Which operating system and version are you running?
- Which Display Protocol do you use to connect to the system?
I take some assumptions for now: I guess you are using Windows on a NVidia based instance (like g4dn). In that case I would ask you to check if you have the corresponding drivers installed (see: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/WindowsGuide/install-nvidia-driver.html). Please note that the NVidia vGPU technology requires a license server. You will find all the details about how to configure licensing in the link above, but please check if the driver properly recognizes the license server.
The next topic is the display protocol. You need to be able to transfer the image data with reasonable frames per second. Nice DCV (see: https://aws.amazon.com/hpc/dcv/) could be one possibility, but there are other solutions as well.
