How can we remove a bank account from our seller account on AWS Marketplace?

We have added a US bank account (hyperwallet) and a UK bank account (swift) under payment information. Swift account is assigned to GBP disbursements which is causing the problem regarding private offers.

We have been told to below action will fix the issue however there is no option on the console for removing/changing the bank account.

“To resolve this issue, seller will need to change their bank location to a non-UK bank location and issue a new offer to buyer, it will allow the buyer to accept the offer.”

Can you let us know how we can delete the bank account information?

To remove a bank account from your AWS Marketplace seller account, you'll need to follow a specific process as there isn't a direct option to delete bank account information through the console. Here's what you can do:

  1. First, ensure that you have another valid payment method set as the default for your account. This is crucial before attempting to remove any payment method.

  2. Sign in to the AWS Marketplace Management Portal using your seller account credentials.

  3. Navigate to the Settings menu and select the "Payments information" tab.

  4. In the "Bank accounts" section, you should see your listed bank accounts. However, as you've mentioned, there may not be a direct option to remove or change the bank account.

  5. Since you're unable to directly remove the bank account and you've been advised to change your bank location to a non-UK bank, you'll need to contact AWS Marketplace support for assistance.

  6. Open a support case explaining your situation, mentioning that you need to remove the UK bank account (SWIFT) that's causing issues with private offers, and that you've been advised to change to a non-UK bank location.

  7. In your support request, clearly state that you want to remove the UK bank account and use only the US bank account (Hyperwallet) for all disbursements, including GBP.

  8. Wait for the AWS support team to process your request. They should be able to help you remove the UK bank account from your seller profile.

  9. Once the UK bank account is removed, you should be able to issue new offers that buyers can accept without the previous issues.

Remember, changes to payment information are sensitive and often require direct intervention from AWS support for security reasons. Always ensure you're working with official AWS channels when dealing with financial information.

After the change is made, you may need to add a new disbursement method for GBP that uses your US bank account, if that's your intention. The AWS support team should be able to guide you through this process as well.
