Newly Created Lightsail Instances - refused to connect error

Hi,
When I create new Wordpress bitnami instances in lightsail or create an instance from new snapshots of a working instance I receive a refused to connect error.
I can successfully create a new instance from a snapshot created on November 26 but all snapshots after this date result in the same 'refused to connect' error.
Running systemctl status bitnami.service I am seeing an error with mariadb
Unable to perform start operation Export start for mariadb failed with exit code 1
