TDE CERTIFICATE ON RDS

I have a TDE Cert encrypted 2017 SQL Server instance on premises. I am trying to keep a clone of that on RDS. I will first be restoring it via backup and then keeping the clone updated via transaction logs. Given that RDS will immediately switch my user managed TDE certificate to a rds managed TDE certificate. Is this viable?
