Verified Identity - FROM/TO

0

Hi,

I'm starting to use SES and I think I'm missing something :-)

In the doc I read:
"In Amazon SES, a verified identity is a domain or email address that you use to send email. Before you can send an email using Amazon SES, you must create and verify each identity that you're going to use as a "From", "Source", "Sender", or "Return-Path" address. Verifying an identity with Amazon SES confirms that you own it and helps prevent unauthorized use. "
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/verify-addresses-and-domains.html

I have email@mydomain.com and the domain mydomain.com that are both verified. Sending a mail FROM email@mydomain.com TO email@mydomain.com works fine. However when sending it FROM email@mydomain.com TO somone@otherdomain.com I get an error as somone@otherdomain.com is not verified.
However based on what I read in the doc, I have to verify the FROM of the mail, not the TO.

From what I understand in the doc, only the FROM needs to be verified, from the errors it seems that both the TO and the FROM need to be verified.

Any thoughts?
And mostly how can I get SES to work with my verified FROM, so I can send to "any" TO?

dirk.

Problem seems to be solved now that I'm no longer running SES in the sandbox.
