Yes, there are ways to create webforms that can be integrated with Amazon Connect to handle customer inquiries or create cases. While Amazon Connect doesn't directly offer public-facing forms without a contact or agent, you can create a custom solution that achieves this goal.

One approach is to create a custom web interface for the form:

  1. Design an HTML form and host it on Amazon S3 or your own website. This form can mimic the structure of an evaluation or inquiry form you'd typically use in Amazon Connect.

  2. Use Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda to handle form submissions. When a user submits the form, the data can be processed and then sent to Amazon Connect.

  3. You can then use AWS Lambda functions to trigger actions in Amazon Connect based on the submitted form data. This could include creating a case, sending an email, or initiating a contact flow.

For email specifically, Amazon Connect offers email capabilities that allow you to receive and respond to emails sent by customers to your business email addresses or submitted via web forms on your website or mobile app. You can configure auto-responses, prioritize emails, create or update cases, and route emails to the best available agent when needed.

To implement this:

  1. Set up an email address using the Amazon Connect-provided domain or integrate your own email domain using Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES).

  2. Configure your webform to send submissions to this email address.

  3. Use Amazon Connect's email capabilities to handle these submissions, which can then be prioritized, assigned, or used to create cases within the Amazon Connect system.

This approach allows you to leverage Amazon Connect's existing tools for routing, configuration, analytics, and management, providing a seamless integration between your webform submissions and your contact center operations.

Remember to consider security measures such as CAPTCHA or rate-limiting to prevent misuse of public-facing forms.

I would tie my webform to this endpoint https://docs.aws.amazon.com/connect/latest/APIReference/API_StartTaskContact.html. To get the submission queued up for agents to handle.
