AWS Organization "You have exceeded the allowed number of AWS accounts." Error

0

Greetings to everyone. When trying to add an AWS account to my existing organization in AWS Organization (when sending an invitation), I get the error "You have exceeded the allowed number of AWS accounts." I am aware that the default account limit is 10. And I do not exceed this limit. I get the same error when I create a new organization.

Thank you in advance for your support.

In some situations, the account just might not be old enough to be 'verified'. Also, I have frequently hit this issue at the 5-account limit and not 10. When I deploy Control Tower, which consumes 3 total accounts and on the 3rd account provisioned via Account Factory, the Service Catalog product fails with the account limit error.

The default account limit is 10, this can be increased. There is also a limit to the number of member accounts you can create concurrently, which is 5. For details of the Quota for AWS Organizations, please refers to:

  • Hello I have not exceeded these limitations, on the contrary, I am well below these limitations, but I still get this error. There seems to be another problem here.
