JITP PROVISIONING DEVICE SHADOW CREATION

0

HI, I have followed the instructions from : https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/aws-iot-core-jitp-setup/, and i have created a thing in the AWS IoT Core. But there is no shadow created in the Device Shadows -- Device Shadows (0)Info. How i can create also the Device Shadow with JITP Provision? Thanks.

Hi,

a device shadow must not be created explicitly, e.g. during device provisioning. The device shadow is created automatically in case it does not exist when you update the shadow. You can update a shadow via MQTT or the data plane API.

  • Thanks, for the answer it worked.

One thing more complicated. My board is based on GPRS communication. So i have a limited data packet. If my shadow model has a lot of fields, can i somehow create a LAMDA function that will create the first Shadow, with all the necessary fields? Thanks
