To set up AWS Audit Manager and get started, follow these steps:

  1. Prerequisites:

    • Ensure you have an AWS account
    • Create an administrative user with IAM Identity Center
    • Grant necessary permissions to access and enable Audit Manager
  2. Enable AWS Audit Manager:

    • Open the AWS Audit Manager console
    • Sign in using IAM identity credentials
    • Choose "Set up AWS Audit Manager"
    • Under "Permissions," no action is required as Audit Manager uses a service-linked role
    • Under "Data encryption," choose between using the default AWS KMS key or a custom key
    • Optionally, specify a delegated administrator account
    • Choose "Complete setup"
  3. Set up recommended features and integrations:

    • Enable the evidence finder for quick searches across member accounts
    • Set up AWS Config: • Enable the service and configure its settings • Enable AWS Config rules or deploy a conformance pack for your chosen compliance standard
    • Set up AWS Security Hub: • Enable the service • Configure resource recording • Enable all security standards • Set up organization's Security Hub settings
    • Set up AWS Organizations (if managing multiple accounts): • Create or join an organization • Enable all features • Specify a delegated administrator for Audit Manager
  4. Create an assessment:

    • Open the AWS Audit Manager console
    • Choose "Launch AWS Audit Manager"
    • Select "Start with a framework"
    • Choose a framework and select "Create assessment from framework"
    • Enter an assessment name and optional description
    • Choose an S3 bucket for assessment reports
    • Specify AWS accounts in scope
    • Specify audit owners
    • Review and create the assessment

After completing these steps, Audit Manager will begin collecting evidence, which will be available 24 hours after assessment creation.

Regarding your specific goal of optimizing your AWS Marketplace product listing, Audit Manager is not directly related to marketplace optimization or SEO. To improve your product's visibility and optimize it for the AWS Marketplace, you may want to:

  1. Review and update your product description with relevant keywords
  2. Ensure your product metadata is complete and accurate
  3. Regularly update your product with new features or improvements
  4. Engage with potential customers through AWS Marketplace channels
  5. Consider reaching out to AWS Marketplace support for guidance on optimizing your listing

For specific assistance with AWS Marketplace optimization, it's best to contact AWS Marketplace seller support directly, as they can provide tailored advice for your product listing.
