Can’t add environment variables to App Runner

I need to add environment variables to my running App Runner app … but the option under Service Settings does not show up. ???
I’m following the instructions show here … but the option does not show up when editing Service Setting. So what so I try? Am I missing something here? Hmm… Thanks for any help!

In my App Runner app this option is not available/showing when I edit Service Settings.
The app is running -- do I need to pause the service/app before I can make this change?

OK, I figured it out. I use a yaml file in my build -- when you do that it isn't possible to create environment variables in the App Runner console.
