Lower pricing options on DocumentDB

Question

Hey everyone, I was wondering if there are any plans on AWS's side on providing cheaper options for DocumentDB? RDS provides options with micro, small and medium EC2 instances, but DocumentDB only supports large and xlarge instances.  
  
For the use case of the project I'm in, the available options are completely overkill, especially for our development environments. This is the only reason currently holding us back from using Mongo, as our client does not want us to host our clusters anywhere outside AWS.
